Israelis, Palestinians to hold indirect talks

The Jewish settlement of Beitar Illit, near Jerusalem, is seen Monday. Israel has authorized the construction of 112 new apartments there, the government disclosed Monday.Israel and the Palestinians agreed to begin indirect, American-brokered talks, the U.S. Mideast envoy announces, ending a 14-month deadlock .
