NYT: Detroit aims to resurrect an iconic ruin

There is new hope that momentum is building for Michigan Central to become a hub for some government security functions or given Detroit's location close to the Canadian border, a center for trade inspections.Despite a vote by the City Council last year to demolish Michigan Central Station, many in Detroit now want to find a new use for the 97-year-old building.
